Data compiled by Snapshot Labs reveals that the total number of decentralised autonomous organisations (DAOs), alongside the number of governance proposals put forward and the number of votes cast, have all seen astounding 800% growth over the past 12 months, With the increase in the number of DAOs the demand for DAO tooling applications and contributors for these DAOs keep growing. To adjust the gap between the demand and supply of contributors to DAOs and to fill in the void of a unified platform to find the contributors we are building the DAO Contributor marketplace.
DAOtributor, a DAO contributor marketplace is a service platform that connects DAOs to individual and independent professionals across the globe. These professionals work as contributors for DAOs to achieve certain tasks and goals.
Some of the main components of DAO formation is that they should be transparent, open and global, and even though there are multiple DAOs there is still a lack of transparency with the DAO treasury and fair compensation to the contributors.
To bridge this gap, our marketplace will also provide an escrow service for the transactions to be transparent between the DAOs and the contributors.
There will be a payment gateway which will enable the transactions between the DAOs and Contributors on the platform.
Through the application the DAOs can build relationships with talents from all around the globe and turnaround their project and make big contributions.
The marketplace will have two components to it:
DAOs can post their requirements
Contributors can propose to work and share their qualifications
Once the contributors create a profile on the marketplace they check the postings and select the job they would want to do.
With every project/ task that a contributor successfully completes, they get an NFT which is like a successful completion badge. This will also build an on-chain resume for the contributors.
The marketplace allows DAOs to search, connect, and hire through contributors' profiles and, recommend and match DAOs and contributors by project needs.
For the Contributors, they can create a profile and mint transferable skills NFT.
Later, assessments are showcased in the contributor profile, validating their skillset.
Once the DAO finds their suitable contributor they can either hire them or invite them for the task, and once the contributor successfully completes their task they are endorsed with the NFT.
And through the escrow service the DAO pays the contributor, making the transaction completely transparent.
