We make real time DAO data great again by representing on-chain data with physical art. One use case for our art installation might be: visualizing DAO treasury status during an in person DAO event. Such as the velocity of BUIDL bucks being sent on chain in order to promote their use.
Our art installation is all about representing on chain data in a fun and interactive physical form.
We make real time DAO data great again by representing on-chain data with physical art. One use case for our art installation might be: a fundraising tug-of-war competition with two teams, each donation pulling their team's rope for the win. We would build a physical tug-of-war powered by the blockchain for in person DAO events.

Our art installation is all about representing on chain data in a fun and interactive physical form. But why not also represent the sculpture as a dynamic NFT!

Our project is built around using Chainlink functions to use on chain event to move our sculpture. We can also use physical inputs to drive an on chain event via Chainlink.
Chainlink Automation enables us to define the rules in our smart contract which cause the sculpture to move.
Our sculpture is all about attracting and onboarding users in a fun and interactive way. They'll end up with a wallet, some tokens, learning about transactions, and smile on their face as the play with the art piece.
The purpose of our sculpture is to educate the public about blockchain technology. We draw them in with interesting art and then invite them to get familiar with a wallet by receiving and sending tokens. The tokens are interactive with the sculpture causing it to move and delighting the user.
My name is Bradon. I'm an architect (of buildings). This is Kirk. He's an artist. This is:
"Emergence: A Kinetic Sculpture"
It is an emergent behavior art installation, moved physically by blockchain interactions, to teach people while playing with it.
It can be difficult to get started with abstract new technology. How great would it be if there was a fun, open, and participatory way to hand-hold a user through those beginning steps. Enter Emergence.
It's a sculpture built with laser cut pieces and motors. As a user approaches, they'll be invited to play with it on their phone. They'll learn about downloading a wallet, receiving, and sending tokens. All the while delighting in the immediate physical representation of blockchain transactions.
We built this scale model here at the maker space using reclaimed material from this event.
The tech stack driving it is a smart contract utilizing ChainLink functions and their oracle network to have on-chain events activate our sculpture. We can also reverse that flow and have physical interactions drive on-chain events.
We envision many different future installations, all built around our smart contract bridging the gap between on-chain events and physical art. Imagine for example a fundraising tug-of-war competition with two teams, each donation pulling their team's rope for the win.
Finally, a huge thank you and much love to everyone who made Camp #BUIDL and ETHdenver happen for us. We learned so much!
