Peanut Protocol is an infra project, enabling some cool new use cases. One important one is allowing for payments with crypto _whilst being offline_ (Vitalik talked about this on his Friday presentation). Internet connectivity issues affect disproportionately low income populations.

As Vitalik said in his Friday speech, paying when you are offline is an unsolved problem within crypto. No more! Peanut Protocol enables a new primitive, one that can take the form of a link, a QR code, a voucher, a paper note or perhaps even a physical coin embedded with an nfc chip. The core principle is that all of these let you send a token (erc20, erc721, erc1155, or just base eth) off-chain, fully decentralized and non-custodially.

We also provide for the claiming of these to be done gaslessly, in order to allow claiming with e.g. an empty wallet. The cool thing about that, through some signature cryptography, it is impossible to frontrun our users even IF we are claiming gaslessly for them!
