Project details
Web3's foundation is self-custody: individuals deserve the right to manage their funds without fear of losing them to malicious actors.
Whilst crypto is undoubtedly bigger than it was 10 years ago.
The majority of the growth has been via CeFi apps such as FTX, Voyager, and Celcius.
This is despite the risks associated with centralised platforms, users are attracted to them due to the ease of onboarding and user-experience.
In 2022 FTX, Voyager, and Celcius lost $14bn worth of users funds.
This could have been prevented if users had self-custodied their assets.
After interviewing 100+ people at EthDenver, we discovered that the biggest barrier to self custody is the onboarding process. It's simply too scary and arduous for the every day user.
RIKO solves this.
Using AI and decentralised protocols for account abstraction RIKO makes buying Eth or Canto easier than ordering a coffee.
Users can input actions in their own language and the action is performed behind the scenes like magic.
For example, users entering the statement: "Sell all my Eth" will automatically convert all of their Eth barring gas fees to their default preferred currency.
RIKO also takes different statements that actually perform the same action:
"Buy 1eth"
"sell my USDC to buy 1eth"
"Swap USDC for 1eth"
All of the above inputs result in RIKO giving the user 1Eth.
What happens in the background?
Through the power of ERC-4337 RIKO uses DeFi protocols such as 0xLabs to find the best quote for Eth across Uniswap, Sushiswap, etc, and performs the transaction on behalf of the user.
Users can also perform actions such as:
Sending funds to another wallet / ens address
Check their balance
Bridge funds to other chains
Borrow / lend funds
And more
DeFi is predicted to be a $230bn market opportunity by 2030. It's biggest challenge to achieving that goal is the question everyone has been asking at EthDenver: "How do we onboard the next 1 billion users to web3?"
The answer is RIKO.
